"Brooklyn Dame", dedicated to my dear old friend, Stephanie

"Brooklyn Dame"

Stephanie in her day was a Rosie the Riveter...

She was ninety-three and a redhead,

and she liked her coffee hot!

She asked for cream, lots of sugah

Don't leave out a single thought!

Oh, She liked to hear the juicy news

she'd stop us in the hall

And say tell me 'bout your lover

I want to hear it all..

'Cause you're never too old

the pull of love of so bold

when it's tuggin' at your heartstrings

Your blood it runs all 'oer

makes you want for more and more

when it's tuggin' at your heartstrings

She's from Brooklyn,

and a classy dame

she told us love was just the same

as drinkin' hot hot coffee

She liked to hear the gossip

oh she wanted it real steamy

We'd pour the words out like a java cup

and make 'em sweet and creamy!

Instant's good when you need it fast

slow brewed tends to make it last

when you're sippin on hot coffee

She likes 'em dark and strong

and boilin' hot

or Sweet and warm

inside her cup

when she's sippin' on hot coffee

She says keep the coffee pot a brewin'

ready to perk right on the spot

have your cream and sugah handy

for your coffee friend who's hot!

'Cause you're never too old

the pull of love of so bold

when it's tuggin' at your heartstrings

Your blood it runs all 'oer

makes you want for more and more

when it's tuggin' at your heartstrings
